Acidity or acid reflux is a common problem amongst people. It is basically a condition wherein stomach acids flow back into the food pipe, causing irritation and resulting in a burning sensation in the chest region. This happens when you eat something loaded with oil or spices that in turn causes a burning sensation in the stomach.
People who eat food rich in fat like chips, fries, pasts, or pizza have more chances to suffer from acidity problems. This also happens if you have excessive sugar consumption, too much caffeine intake, and less water consumption. All these factors disturb the natural pH levels of the body that in turn make the stomach acids overflow.
In case you encounter similar problems twice a week, chances are you could be suffering from acidity problems or acid reflux, also known as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).
